Video Demonstrating How To Fix Links of All Kinds
Determining if a link is old in course content
When you go to Course Admin -> External Learning Tools, you will see 2 tabs at the top. One reads Manage Tool Links (Legacy), and one LTI Advantage.
If you have old VoiceThread (not Assignment Builder!) links in the course, they will not show up in EITHER tab.
If you have old Assignment Builder links, they will show up in the Manage Tool Links (Legacy) tab.
New Integration VoiceThread links of all types appear in the LTI Advantage tab.
Determining if an Assignment Builder link is old in Course Content
When you go to Course Admin -> External Learning Tools, you will see 2 tabs at the top. One reads Manage Tool Links (Legacy), and one LTI Advantage.
Check to see if there is an External Learning Tools link in the Manage Tool Links (Legacy) tab with the same as the link to the assignment in course content. If so, it is an old integration link. New integration Assignment Builder links appear in the LTI Advantage Tab.

This one is a bit trickier. Just remember, old integration VoiceThread links do not appear in either tab. Old integration Assignment Builder links appear in the Manage Tool Links (Legacy) tab. All new integration links appear in the LTI Advantage Tab.
We can conclude that this link is good! If we see it appear in the LTI Advantage tab, it's a new integration link. If it does not appear in either tab, it's an old integration VoiceThread link. If it appears in the Manage Tool Links (Legacy) tab, it is an old integration Assignment Builder link.
Determining if a UA Tools -> VoiceThread in the D2L NavBar is old
The quickest way to know whether you should replace your UA Tools -> VoiceThread menu item is to click on the "Actions for NavBar" button in the top right of the D2L page on the far right side of the Navbar and click Customize this NavBar:
If you get this message after you click Customize this NavBar:
This means you are still using the default global UA NavBar. The D2L and InTech team updated all the VoiceThread links in the global NavBar, so if you've never made a copy, you're all set!
If you see "Edit This Navbar" instead of "Customize this NavBar" when you click the Actions for NavBar button, you have a copy of the NavBar and you should absolutely follow the directions outlined in this article to remove and replace the UA Tools -> VoiceThread link:
