Change Panopto Share Settings

If you are trying to use Panopto videos with PlayPosit and some learners are unable to see the PlayPosit bulb, please check your Panopto video share settings! You must have it set to "Public (unlisted)" or "Your Organization (unlisted)" in order for it to play in PlayPosit properly.

  1. To adjust the share settings on a Panopto video, navigate to the video in Panopto and click the “Share” button.
  1. In the pop-up window, select "Change" next to "Who can access this video".
  1. Select “Public (unlisted)” or "Your Organization (unlisted)". Note: if you choose "Your Organization (unlisted)", students will be prompted to login to Panopto with their NetID when they attempt to view the bulb. Learn more here.  
  1. Your changes will be automatically saved. Now the video is ready to be added to a PlayPosit bulb! You can also adjust these settings at any time and they will update the video in an existing bulb.
